Dominican Republic

In 2004, Bridge Foundation organized an airlift of urgently needed disaster relief supplies to flood victims in the Dominican Republic. The airlift contained nearly 55,000 pounds of beans, rice, cooking oil, infant formula and nutritional supplements.

Severe flooding took several hundred lives and left thousands homeless. Bridge Foundation worked with the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the Dominican Republic. The primary areas of distribution were be the El Cibao region where 17 villages were affected.
