Bridge Foundation organized a humanitarian relief flight to assist those fleeing persecution by Janjaweed militias in the Darfur region of Sudan.

In response to increasing hostilities between militia groups in Sudan and Chad, Bridge Foundation's goal is to provide lifesaving essential drugs and medical supplies to more than 175,000 Darfur refugees and some 110,000 internally displaced Chadians affected by violence along the border.

The Chad airlift was part of The Darfur Project’s "2007-Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment" to provide essential humanitarian aid, via airlift, to Darfur, Chad and Central African Republic to assist those directly affected by the ongoing conflict in Darfur.
