Bridge Foundation organized an airlift of urgently needed disaster relief supplies to flood victims in the Dominican Republic. The airlift contained nearly 55,000 pounds of beans, rice, cooking oil, infant formula and nutritional supplements.  The flight landed in Santo Domingo.

Severe flooding took several hundred lives and left thousands homeless.  The flooding plagued recovery efforts as recently sown crops had been washed away in many areas.

The Bridge Foundation worked with the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the Dominican Republic. The primary areas of distribution will be the El Cibao region where 17 villages were affected.
